Miranda Carter

In these paintings I have worked thicker with more texture and expressive brushwork. I poured, scratched and layered the paint, using inks and pastels, to encourage controlled ‘accidental’ marks and gestures. They capture both the atmosphere of weather and light, plus the sheer enjoyment I had for my materials.
